You are permitted to work up to 20 hours every week in case your full time study program fulfills any of the parameters below:

ü  The full time English Language program ends at least for the period of 14 continuous weeks at a university or its category 1 education provider under NZQA (External evaluation review quality assurance system)
ü  Its duration is at least 2 years
ü  You are a Scholarship student of NZ Aid Program under any of the below design/plan/scheme:
Þ      Commonwealth Scholarship
Þ      New Zealand Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) Scholars Award.
Þ      New Zealand Pacific Scholarship
Þ      New Zealand Development Scholarship

Full-time work conditions

ü  You will be able to work full-time during all vacations programmed by your educational institution/provider, provided you are enrolled in a full-time study program for the period of at least 1 academic year.
ü  An academic year means a study program of at least 120 credits in a minimum 8 month period, i.e. at least 2 semesters.
ü  In case your full-time study program has duration of minimum 8 months, and is at least of 2 semesters, however, it is less than 120 credits, you are allowed to work full-time over the New Year and Christmas holiday period. 
ü  You are not compulsorily required an offer of employment.
